For players and Parents
Step 1. Download the Clubzap app from the respective appstore ( apple or Android) the app is free to download
Step 2. Once the installation has been completed startup the app and select the correct club , Ballina Stephenites.
Step 3. Enter your mobile phone number in the mobile sign in screen. Select your country code by clicking the flag if it is different from the default choice. Enter your number and click next.
Step 4. You will receive an sms code to your phone. On some Android devices this is auto populated for you or else manually enter the code and continue.

Step 5. Enter your Full name and Email address and select Sign Up
You are now active on the platform and can start using the app.

The next step is to join your team on the Chat section (bottom right on the app, marked Chat)
Step 1. Tap the chat Icon
Step 2. You need to tap the chat icon on the bottom right, and select the team(s) you or your child is in , and select request to join.
Step 3. If you are accepted you now are part of the chat group and the mentor/ managers can now contact you regarding fixtures and training

If you are receiving an event invite from your Team to attend training or Fixture please RSVP to answer the invite.
Chat Notifications Options for all users
All members of a chat group can manage the following notifications for their own profile:
Mute: This allows a group member to turn on/off notifications for a specified period of time: 8 Hours | 1 Day | 1 Week | 1 Month
Once you select one of the mute options an icon will appear next to your chat group to identify the group has notifications enabled.
Chat: Receive notifications for chat messages.
Events: Receive notifications for event invitations and changes
Push notifications are clickable, pop-up messages sent by an app to your mobile device. They're designed to grab user attention and convey important messages — even when the app isn't open.
There are countless benefits of push notifications. They increase open rates, keep users engaged, drive user retention, and ultimately enhance the user experience.
The ClubZap app enables users to customise their own experience on what push notifications they wish to receive.
How to customise your push notifications experience
If you would like to customise the push notifications you are receiving you can manage this for each of the clubs you follow as detailed here:
- Open the ClubZap App
- Click on the Settings (Cog) icon
- Click on the Push Notifications
- Click on the Club you cant to manage notifications for.
The following Notifications can be managed:
Daily Updates: Highlight notifications for games, news and lotto activity. These notifications are delivered twice a day provided content has not already been read. More info on delivery schedule for push notifications here
Chat: Allows notifications to inform you about received messages
Events: Allow notifications for invites to an event and updates
Results: Full Time Score / Event Updates - these can be managed on a per team basis.
How to send a test notification to yourself
If you are experiencing issues in receiving push notifications you can send yourself a test notification via the notifications screen.
- Open the ClubZap App
- Click on the Settings (Cog) icon
- Click on the Push Notifications
- Click on Send Test Notification
The following message will appear provided you have your notifications enabled. If you did not receive the test notification check you have notifications enabled as detailed here
How to disable all push notifications on ClubZap
- Open the ClubZap App
- Click on the Settings (Cog) icon
- Click on the Push Notifications
- To turn OFF all Push Notifications toggle the Allow Push Notifications to OFF. This setting is enabled by default.
Note: It is not recommended to turn off notifications as you will miss out on important notifications around group chat (event invites), club news and match results.
How to enable all push notifications on ClubZap
- Open the ClubZap App
- Click on the Settings (Cog) icon
- Click on the Push Notifications
- To turn ON all Push Notifications toggle the Allow Push Notifications to ON. This setting is enabled by default.
Note: It is recommended to have Push Notifications always enabled to get the best user experience from the app.
How to enable/disable In App Feedback
In-app feedback is a system that allows users to provide feedback on their experience with the app while using it. It can be done by writing a review, rating the app, suggesting a new feature, or giving a thumbs up or down. This helps our development team and product managers see what are popular features and what are not.
- Open the ClubZap App
- Click on the Settings (Cog) icon
- Click on the Push Notifications
- To turn OFF In App Feedback toggle the In-App to OFF. To turn ON In App Feedback toggle the In-App to ON. This setting is enabled by default.
Note: It is recommended to leave the default value of enabled for In-App Feedback. This is an integral tool for our team in ensuring the features we release are providing the best functionality possible for the end user.
Fixtures:
To view upcoming fixtures of teams of interest to you, e.g. all U14 team matches, go to "Games" on the homepage of the App
