Mayo-powered UL win first Sigerson Cup in Croke Park
Thrilling Sigerson Cup Final ended with UL winning their maiden title as UCC are beaten in Croke Park following a deserved 0-17 to 1-11 victory last night.
The sides had been level 0-9 to 1-6 at half-time at GAA headquarters.
UL had lost Sigerson Cup deciders in both 2022 and again in 2023 when the Castletroy-based side suffered a narrow defeat to UCC.
Moy Davitts attacker Cian McHale was top-scorer for the winners with five points to his name, while Castlebar's Sean Morahan, Ballina's Frank Irwin and Conal Dawson from Westport also raised white flags.
